CANsing is the City of York Council's Staff Choir founded by Ted Schofield in 2010 ably led by Janice Summers (checked shirt) with the very capable accompaniment of Andrew Fowles (broadest smile, especially as he has left us and is traveling the world - but he will be replaced by a capable fellow musician from The University of York, Music Department) and the great enthusiasm of The Choir(the good looking ones!).
If you work, or have worked, for the council and you want to sing, join us! There are no auditions and no experience is necessary. We perform a variety of music and rehearsals are relaxing and fun, so why not join us

CLASSSIC QUOTES from Janice"Strong and Wrong" with Clear Diction and a Smile has proved a sound basis for Janice in raising many members attitudes from Can't sing to CANsing, as has been demonstrated by our ever improving Concerts. After all everyone can sing, just that some have had more practice than others!
"Let's not be hampered by the notes on the page" is certainly a good way to get you focused on the song."It's a big sing for a short song" Janice's description of John Rutter's "A Gaelic Blessing".
